- Amy Hooper, MSW, LGSW, uses her warm, calming presence with her dynamic style to engage clients in a collaborative relationship to support their personal growth. She uses a holistic, practical, solution focused approach in order to tailor therapy to meet the specific needs of each individual client. She has experience working with individuals, couples and families. Her specialties are stress and anxiety, depression, women's wellness issues, difficult life transitions, relationship issues, and job related concerns. Amy uses an empowerment perspective to help clients explore their inner selves to find their personal strengths.
Amy holds a Masters degree in Social Work with a Clinical focus in Mental Health from The University of Maryland, School of Social Work. Throughout her Master's degree, she worked with a variety of individuals with a range of issues to help them find the paths to happier, healthier, more fulfilling lives. Amy is also certified in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM), a specialized training to help individuals and organizations during crises. Amy has recently become a member of the National Association of Professional Women, an organization recognizing the country's most accomplished professional women.
