I'm looking at all you've accomplished and how professional your sites look and work. It's impressive. I need some help creating my own and was looking at OTI website design setup. Not sure if I want to start over or not.
What interests would you like to share with friends and members of OTI?
I'm new to this and not sure what information you'd be interested in knowing about me.
Can you share a brief bio?
Before I became a counselor, I was an Analyst Programmer in St. Louis, MO and Chicago, IL for 10 years. When midlife caused me to question the decisions I’d made in my 20s, I moved back to Texas, returned to graduate school and changed careers.
Now you might ask, how does a person go from the extremely impersonal realm of information technology to the exceedingly intimate world of psychotherapy? Curiosity is the key. I love learning what makes people tick and how they come to see the world from their perspective. In addition to traditional face-to-face therapy, I blend a bit of technology into my work by encouraging clients to access resources on the Internet, plus I provide distance counseling via e-mail or video/chat. What’s different these days is that I hire computer nerds to handle the details for me and keep a safe distance from the “code.”
